BookMyShow, a movie ticketing portal has banned its online ticket bookings in the state of A.P. Though the reason has been not disclosed by their officials, it is said that A.P Government authorities has forced them for a ban.
It is said that, due to statutory reasons, the government of A.P has made it mandatory to stop all the online ticketing in the state. The further notice on this is awaited. While rest of the services like travel etc will be carried out, the ban is specifically on Cinema ticket bookings. The other official online movie ticketing sites PVR, Fame, Big Cinemas et al, which are mostly managed by BookMyShow and Big Tree Entertainment has halted their online bookings.
